Dorien De Kesel is a Belgian fashion designer driven by a need to question, deconstruct, and rebuild ideas of beauty and value in fashion. Through her work, she challenges the dominance of ‘Western’ ideals and searches for meaning in the overlooked and the forgotten.

At the core of her practice lies a deep fascination for tactility and the emotional resonance of garments. Dorien creates pieces that invite touch and foster quiet, intimate connections between body and material. She constantly pushes herself to engage critically with both technique and material, seeking new ways to shape, manipulate, and reinterpret them.

She believes that many of the answers we seek today lie dormant in the past, waiting to be rediscovered and reimagined for a contemporary context.

Her intuitive, reflective process allows craftsmanship and emotion to intertwine.
